Dr. Frank Pierik (1970) studied Health Sciences at the Radboud University Nijmegen. After graduation he worked at the Erasmus University Rotterdam as doctoral candidate and the Erasmus Medical Center (researcher 1998-2004). Since 2004 he works as a senior researcher and project manager at the Department of Urban Environment & Safety (TNO). In recent projects, Frank focuses on the relationship between environment and health, in particular between the built environment and physical activity.
